January 19th

Since our December meeting was cancelled due to weather, we'll be creating this game on the 19th of January instead.

At this meeting we'll be making a "Space Shooter" video game.  We will be writing code to animate objects and make a scrolling shooter game.

December 15th Meeting

November 10th Meeting

This week we'll be looking at another Scratch game called Hide and Seek.  We'll be adding a timer to the game that ends the round after a certain number of seconds.  Also, we'll be looking at how to make the game more challenging and add our own tweaks to it.

October 20th Meeting

This week we'll be looking at another game in scratch called "Apple Catch".  We'll be learning how to add a scoreboard and keep track of the lives the player has in the game.

Coding Club -> Gaming Club

Our Coding Club has been renamed Gaming Club!  Our plan for this year includes:

  • Learning how to program in basic computer languages by playing games
  • Teaching other students how to write and read coding languages
  • Anything that you, the student, want to show the group about video gaming or computer programming, or both!
  • Playing, writing, and ENJOYING games!
